I thought they were just about the coolest shoes I'd ever seen, and I just had to get myself a pair. I've had at least one pair in my closet at all times ever since. I thought they were totally amazing back then, and I still feel that way about them today. Obviously a lot of people agree, because they seem to be more popular now than ever. I currently have 3 pair that I wear really frequently. I love them for their high style and for their versatility -- they look great with just about everything. They always draw favorable attention/comments too, which is fun. I suspect I'll be wearing Vans slip-ons for as long as I live or as long as they're made, which I hope in both cases will be forever! :-) VS Most Liked Negative Review nice looking, falls apart I love the shoes but this is the 2nd pair Ive purchased in the last year and they have both fallen apart. Best Uses Comments about Checkerboard Slip-On: I love the look and style of this shoe. I usually only buy Vans in leather or suede. This is my first and last pair in fabric. I have only worn them for a week and the seams are already coming undone and fraying. Such a shame cause I wanted these so bad! Now just so disappointed!

Very durable and longlasting considering everything Ive put them through. Im considering getting the new blue and gold ones although I love these because they match with everything. Overall great shoe
