The Era Pro is a major step in tweaking and upgrading the skate performance of one of our best selling classic shoes. A few years back our team skated Classics, loved them, and kept requesting them with performance footbeds. We saw the popularity and introduced Era Pro's, but had not put the product in our permanent rotation until now. We wanted to put a stake in the ground to combat the knock-off products and remind everyone who was the first and who is still the best at performance vulcanized. Look for the special "Pro Classics" logos and labeling to identify this product. The Pro Classics series includes the classic Vans shoes you know and love but updated and upgraded to meet the demanding requirements of the Vans Pro Skate Team. Vans Pro Classics last longer and provide the extra support and cushion today's skateboarders need.

  • Skate Vulc: Classic Skate Feel, Improved Cushioning.
  • NEW Co-Molded PU1 Footbed: Single-Density Foam, Improved Fit.
  • Combination Insole Board: Shoe Flexes at the Ball of Your Foot, Heel Remains Stable.
  • DURACAP Toe Bumper: Extra Layer of Rubber, Prolongs Shoe Life.
  • NEW DURACAP Upper: Micro Thin Rubber Layer, Ollie Area Reinforcement.
  • Imported.

I have had Era Pro's since shortly after they were starting to sell them on the market, and I have to say that it is easily the best pair of skate shoes I have ever owned in 9 years of skateboarding. The Era classics have always been a favorite of mine, and the Pros take it to another level.

Most companies have turned to cheaply made shoes to save money and make profit. But, Our best friends from the Vans factories keep their word and make a quality shoe with less ripping so you can thrash your shoes for a lot longer.

It does not matter if you are just starting to skate, or if you are one of the best skaters out there. These shoes are perfect for any skater who still appreciates a low pro shoe with a lot of board feel . You will get everything you expect from a quality shoe!

The grip and overall build of this shoe is nice, not so much the sizing. I have big feet. I usually wear a 13 in about everything. I've tried the 12 in vans chukka lows before and they were too small in every direction. 13's are too big. It would be awesome if there was a 12.5, but you can't get any skate shoe in that size. This cause blisters to form on the tops of my toes because while I'm skating, the shoe rubs back and forth. Other than this the shoe is sweet. It looks nice, and is built with durable material as far as I can tell.

      Comments about Era Pro, Men:

I mostly wear these shoes for comfort and everyday use, but have been known to skate a little. I'm a hardcore Vans fan and I refuse to wear any other shoes regardless of the occasion. Bottom line; I've owned my fair share of Eras and the Era Pros are definitely a step up. They're way more comfortable than the canvas and they last A LOT longer. Cons would be the breathability. Canvas breathes and suede doesn't....you decide. I would recommend these and I've loved them, I feel like I get a lot more bang for my buck. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because you're a lot more limited in the color choices and I think some of the details are being perfected.

        Comments about Era Pro, Men:

do not wash the Navy/Gum variation, because the suede on the front of the shoe and on the rear is very hard to dry. Other wise then that, I would buy another pair anytime. The next ones i may get will probably be the Antique White/Burgundy ones.

        Comments about Era Pro, Men:

I use the shoes for mostly just around school campus things such as P.E., walking around, and playing b-ball with my friends. The shoe is very comfortable and the colours of the materials are very close to the same, but there is still a distinction. The down side is that I found the same shoe for half the price at a local vans outlet. The shoe should come with optional black laces too, because the shoe that I bought, the laces did not match the shoe except for the vans tag and the logo on the rear of the soul. The shoe that I bought is the variation that has the supertuff suede. The suede is very difficult to dry, so whatever you do, DO NOT WASH THEM!
