Sole was not fit for shoe

everything about these shoes and their timing was great. The problem was the sole in one of the shoes, when you flipped the shoe over the sole would basically fall out. I feel like this is unacceptable and should not happen to new shoes. The biggest problem is that these are a Christmas present and I have no time to return them with my busy schedule. I have never had problems in the past but this is obviously an issue with the person packing the product.
